Get Off of My Cloud

I just want to say that tolerance goes TWO WAYS. And I think that sometimes people forget that. I was talking with someone who insisted that I live with my boyfriend before marrying him, or I would never know if we were compatible. Why is it okay for him to tell me this, and it would seem so intolerant of me to tell him something like, "You really should stop drinking. Its bad for your health and you're wasting a lot of money." Why do I have to be tolerant of working mothers, but they don't have to be tolerant of stay at home mothers? Why do I have to be tolerant of the rights of homosexuals, when they don't have to be tolerant of my right to teach my children that homosexuality is wrong? Tolerance is good. Acceptance of others beliefs in the name of tolerance is the exact opposite.

I am I said

Today I registered to vote! It was actually quite fun. I went down to the court house (was it the court house? I don't know, it was the address on the website) and waited in a line of cars. This line kind of went in a maze through the giant parking lot. Eventually we got to a lady who handed me a form to fill out. I had to do this while driving, which was difficult even at 2 mph. I'm sure driving a stick shift didn't help. Then, after a few more turns, I got to another lady who quickly looked over my form, took the white copy and handed me the yellow duplicate and I was on my way! So, for the record: Car mazes in giant parking lots=fun. :)

All By Myself!

Last night I went to Wal-Mart and bought a wireless router for the internet we just got set up in our house. And I came home and set it up, all by myself. And the coolest thing is: IT WORKS!!
